On Wednesday, May 3, the Village Project will be celebrating 15 years of impact in Alumni Gym from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Alamance Community College, Elon University, and the Alamance-Burlington School System are teaming up to strengthen the local community’s teacher pipeline. The program was able to expand to all Title I schools in the county thanks to a $1.25 million grant from the Oak Foundation announced in 2021. The honor was one of two awards presented to community partners during the evening, which was a celebration of the system’s top educators, staff and students. This year, the ABSS Community Impact Award was given to Alamance Community College for its transformative impact on countless individuals, allowing them to achieve their goals and realize their full potential.Ībout 300 Elon University students and other volunteers now annually tutor children and partner with parents and guardians, 60 public school teachers, and school liaisons and principals in all 12 Title I elementary schools in the Alamance-Burlington School System. The project is a collaboration between Elon tutors and Alamance-Burlington Schools teachers and principals to improve the academic attainment of elementary grade students in the 12 Title One schools from surrounding Alamance County communities. The username and password is the same as the Moodle login. Many professors are not accepting emails from non GTCC emails. This email server is the one college professors use to communicate with students. In addition to checking Moodle on a regular basis, students should also log into their Titan email. This will help you to stay on top of your child’s assignments, grades, time management etc. We are also requesting that at least one of these times be with the parent. It is MANDATORY that your student checks Moodle at least twice a day. Almost all of the college instructors use Moodle to communicate with their students. They must have a picture ID to reset their password. If not, they will have to request assistance from the help desk attendants in the AT Computer Lab. If your student has forgotten their user name or password, they may be able to reset it themselves. The same user name and password is used for both Moodle and WebAdvisor. WebAdvisor allows students to view their schedule, grades, and unofficial transcript. Also, usually GRADES are posted on Moodle. Moodle is an online information system where students can find their class syllabus, assignments and any announcements the instructor may make.
